We are pleased to announce that Mr. Saito, Representative of the Malaysia Study Abroad Support Center, appeared on FM Yokohama’s Lovely Day♡ on August 21, 2025, as part of the program’s segment Lovely♡ Gene Watch.

During the segment, Mr. Saito discussed the growing interest in studying abroad in Asia based on the latest data released by Japan’s Ministry of Education, Culture, Sports, Science and Technology (MEXT). He explained why Malaysia, in particular, is gaining popularity as a study abroad destination due to its high educational standards and well-established English-speaking environment.

Mr. Saito also shared the background behind establishing the Malaysia Study Abroad Support Center, expressing his desire to lower the barriers to studying abroad and help more people learn about the opportunities available in Malaysia. He further introduced the center’s on-site support system for students studying overseas.

In addition, Ms. Nina Kodama, a current student at Taylor’s University, one of Southeast Asia’s leading private universities, joined the program as a guest. She spoke about her personal journey—having aspired to study abroad since high school but deciding against Western destinations due to cost and timing constraints—and explained why she chose to study in Malaysia instead. She also shared her firsthand experiences of academic life, the benefits of studying in two countries through a U.S. transfer pathway, and the richness of daily life in Malaysia.

Moving forward, the Malaysia Study Abroad Support Center will continue to share the real voices and experiences of students who have studied abroad, while communicating the genuine appeal and potential of studying in Malaysia.
